I cannot praise the care my mum has received enough. The care staff are amazing, cheerful and always happy to help. We as a family have come across some difficult and stressful situations over the last year with the local council and funding. The management team have done everything in their power to guide and help us overcome these situations and for that I cannot thank them enough.Would I recommend Farway Grange ? Absolutely !! The whole Team from Managers to Nurses, Carers, Activity Staff, housekeepers and maintenance are 100% committed to their roles and make Farway Grange exceptional in my view.

Daniel D Son of Resident

My wife passed away last November after 4 years as a resident of Fairway Grange. She had suffered from advanced Parkinson's dementia and finally suffered a stroke. During her time at Farway she received in my opinion the very best care and nursing that I could have wished for and I believe she was as happy as she could have been given her awful progressive and debilitating disease. All the staff are very caring, always cheerful and would always raise a smile from her. Over the years I got to know them all quite well and I know they were genuinely fond of her.

A Y Husband of Resident

Farway Grange is an outstanding Care Home. Having seen the wonderful long-term care given to two close relatives, I chose it for my post-op recovery and was not disappointed. It is quickly apparent that the staff enjoy working there. They are attentive, cheerful and professional and it feels like a family. Many have been there for several years, which speaks of how well the home is run. Residents are taken for 'walks' and picnics in wheelchairs to the lovely park nearby, and parties are given in the beautiful garden at the back of the house. Every resident is treated as an individual with their varied needs carefully attended to. They do what matters, which is caring for their residents.

Denise H Resident

My best friend (only in her early 70s) spent 4 years at Farway Grange. During that time I visited 3 times a week and the care she received was exceptional. Always a friendly face - nothing was too much trouble. I was made to feel so welcome. Management and staff were always accessible for questions or any concerns we might have. The care and support was delivered with great empathy. As end of life approached, everyone was brilliant through such a difficult period. The nursing and care was exemplary and the reassurance that we were in a home-from-home, happy environment helped us cope with the very sad situation we were all in. Farway has a very special personal approach to the care they give to their residents and to the wider family and friends. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Meet The Team

Amber Davies
Registered Manager | Joined in 2016

“My name is Amber, I am a Registered Nurse as well as the
Registered Manager for Farway Grange.

I have worked within the care sector since sixth form, firstly as a Health Care Assistant before I went on to do my Nursing Degree. I have worked within the care home environment since qualifying. I chose to remain in the care home environment as I feel you have a more personal relationship with your residents.

After five years of being qualified I then took the role as Deputy Manager in a Dementia Specialist Home which I did for three years before branching out to become a Registered Manager with Amrial Care at Farway Grange.”

Pauline Kelly
Head of Care & Wellbeing | Joined in 2016

“My name is Pauline, I work for Amrial Care as the
Head of Care & Wellbeing at Farway Grange.

I have worked within the care sector for over 30 years where I have gained lots of experience, knowledge, and qualifications. Having started in the care industry with no experience and wondering if the job would be the right career choice, after four shifts I knew this was going to be my career.

I have worked in the care home environment for many years then branched out to the NHS where I worked on an acutely ill dementia ward for 10 years gaining many clinical skills, then I returned to the care home environment, where I have enjoyed sharing my skills and knowledge with my colleagues.

I am very passionate about the services I work within and enjoy being part of the team who are as passionate as I am, allowing service users to feel valued and respected.”
